Hanse Law Review has been founded in 2004 by students of Hanse Law School. At that time, the editoral board was composed of alumni and legal scholars closely connected to the law school and supported by its students. Hanse Law Review follows a long-standing tradition in anglo-american legal science: There, university journals are amongst the most influential legal publications. The first volume of Hanse Law Review was published in 2005.
The journal reflects the academic focus of Hanse Law School an mainly contains articles on European, Transnational and International Law. The articles are written by legal scholars, practitioners and students from all over the world.
